hi guys,

I can't beleive it.... its dead... I mean it was fine... healty.. running strong... and now ... Its dead...

I have no clue... I won't let it go without a fight....

i was just driving it a few days back and it was running fine and then suddenly after 5 mins of driving it made a sound hesitated and then the cars sound changed completely... it did not hold idle.. at idle it would stall... and while driving it had no power... so i turned the car around and came home... the car was making boost but no power and sounded like a V8 with crazy cams..... when i looked at the exhaust after parking the car... it was red hot... i mean it was glowing red....

then i let the car cool down and the next day i tried starting it thinking it was all a bad dream... it did start but still did not hold idle and sounded the same...the exhaust is as white as milk....

So now i have taken out the cat thinking it was causing a restriction but found it in the best shape now the car does not even start.... i gave it a few selfs.. i can smell the fuel... but it seems like the engine does not rotate.... where is the MAP sensor... is it the boost sensor??

what to do....could it be the ECU?

some feedback please...Help me have to save it... I love my FD

kinda sounds like oil control rings... when mine blew it would smoke like no tomorrow... mine idled ok though so i dont know what would be causing that...

i assume you know where the map, tps, and boost sensor all are? aka back of the uim. make sure all electrical connections are good and that all vacume lines by the uim are connected. if you blow one on the uim, it wont idle worth a damm, but it kinda sounds like a control ring combined with something else..

sorry to hear that man, last time i had huge smoke problems, it cost me 6k.

I had a guy take a look at the car... when i tried starting it.. it did not start.. but the engine does rotate i mean i can hear and feel it....there is white smoke... and the engine seems without any load... the guy concluded there is something wrong with the plugs....

should i change the plugs... could it just be a fualty plug??? or maybe the ignition system... the car was not overheating.. ran healty... can it still be that my engine is gone..

UIM - upper intake manifold.

MAP Sensor, is the boost sensor...firewall drivers side.

do a quick poor man's compression test. take out one of the spark plugs on the front. Feel for 3 even pulses. If you get one strong/two weak...your engine's blown. Do this for the front and back. Also remember to pull out the fuse for the ecu

i tried doing the poor mans compression test but messed that up too... did not take out the ecu fuse but the guy who did the test said he felt nothing in both the plugs which are under the car...

have not yet checked the other two... will check in the morning...

I think i am screwed bad.... even tried to diagnose the ecu by connecting it to a diagnostic system but there was an error in communication.... Can it be the ecu playing games with me?

ok give it to me guys.... do i need a new engine.... will just a new block do?? and where can i get the best race preped block or engine...

i thought about selling the car.... but man just one look at it... one look changes my whole perspective...
