So I know the greddy units are down to like $125+shipping and are pretty much the standard for FD's, but I was wondering if there would be any interest in a new elbow?

I know a lot of people don't like the fact that the elbow is 2.75" instead of 3", also the curve of it doesn't work too good with getting a pipe to go straight forward since it curves in.

I would also be powder coating the parts with either a reflective chrome or a mirror black, which would be a choice of the buyer at time of order.

Still finishing up the design so no pics of anything useful yet.

BUT if you have any ideas or remember anything that people dont like about the greddy unit let me know so I can factor it in. My biggest peeves were the curving inward of it and how it isn't too smooth-flowing, rather sharp radius. My idea was to curve it more, bring it towards the outer side of the engine rather then pointing it inwards.

Only other option i could think of was putting a bung in to relocate your IAT to the elbow, or making it the same thread as the coolingmist water/meth injectors so you could mount those on there.

Prefer to get all the ideas in now before I actually become satisified with my ideas lol.

oh and of course I'd be aiming to price it at around $100-110 + shipping so it'll be better and cheaper then greddy, not cast, but all welds will be attempted to be kept minimal, and out of plain sight on the bottom of the piece. Figuring on flange thickness of about .5" possibly less, gotta measure my greddy unit.

Let me know, even if you wouldnt buy one but have some helpful insight,

Kevin.

Great idea. Will it be aluminum or steel? Also if aluminum would you leave it raw so I could polish it

if you have a FD Throttle Body then yea it would, otherwise no.

why? do you need one for an s4 t2?

I havent decided on final construction, was thinking steel, but aluminum heatsoaks less so I'll have to see.

I'm fairly lazy, i normally get stuff going but die off at the end, or make 1 for myself and then just enver get back around to it lol

1 of the hks elbows. i think that one comes with their v-mount. the other one looks almost like a stock elbow.
