[quote name='22GoinOn2' date='Aug 12 2005, 05:21 PM']I have a Greddy 4 Row (for MKIV Supra). It was on the car when I bought it. It's a FMIC set up and it's probably too big for a VMIC. This thing is FREAKIN' HUGE! The intercooler is about as wide as the two frame rails in the engine bay (counting the endtanks) and goes from the bottom edge of the stock bumper up to the bottom of the headlights. I have pics if anyone is interested.

most of the time its only the turbo side that needs new piping as well, well basically all of the time

i did a vmic where the IC is on the bottom so the rad it kinda in the stock location. did it this way cuz: 1) wanted the alleviate the low hanging rad fans issue, 2) allow a bigger IC core (24x12x3.5), 3) allow the pipes to enter the endtanks not at 90 deg to the core, and 4) allow a custom vented undertray to enhance flow through the IC.

here's a rough pix of how it sits: http://www.encompass-tech.com/photogallery/FD/fd03.JPG

Thats a pretty damn cool setup. I do have a question though. How well does it flow. It seems as though everything is almost laying horzonitally, dosen't look like the radiator is getting much air forced through it?

car needs to be tuned b4 i can run it so no hard nor empirical data. but given that dictum of "path of least resistance" airflow show not be an issue whether the cores are flat or perpendicular to the flow. it should flow through the cores since the splitter will "trap" volume of air for the rad and IC individually. the venting under the the IC along with the air flowing under the car should draw it through and out the back of the car. the tray is slightly canted upwards towards the rear of the vehicle so I'm HOPING that it won't cause significant lift to upset the handling balance at high speeds.

i'm pretty sure that the air will flow THROUGH both rad and IC and not back out the bumper mouth https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...R#>/tongue.png so getting "enoguh" air shouldn't be a problem...fingers are tightly crossed tho.
