OK i am dealing with a guy from daytona florida to purcahse his fd. Its black almost completely stock xcept for downpipe and full exhaust and has a rebuilt motor between 20k-30k on the motor. Now i am seriously considering on purchasing the car the problem being is that me and my brother are planing on flying in there to look at it if the deal is final . Now its goin to be a one way trip by plane and drive the car back to chicago. Now the question comes up if i should have anything to worry about driving an fd for such a long distance and for such a long time or even if i should consider such thought???

i suggest huring a toe truck or something i dont know how far u are from it but i used an a frame to get mines from london to scotland whitch did the trick if u have to travel any more than 500 miles definetly toe it but if not just take 6 hour shifts between you and your brother or even better you could get it on a truck and have it deliverd to you as you fly home

yea i'd do tha same because one thing it's going to put unwanted miles on it....an 2 it's a long drive believe me i've been with my family that's done it a little over 4times but now im here 2 stay...at least a while

well my brother has been on roadtrips to florida already so no problem about switching drivers. But my only issues is if the rx can take the 1200 mile ride , i was thinking maybe give the fd like an hour rest in between drives and go no faster than lets say 70mph keeping it on neutral rpm ranges. Towing is my other choice or delivery but thats also unwanted money i would have to spend and i dont trust the delivery companies that much.
