No reason to sell it if you aren't financially needing to. maybe start doing some auto-x or roadcourse stuff to revive the spirit.

kris if you don't need to sell it, then don't. You will regret it down the road. You've had it since 95, now thats a bond.

....Just cancel the insurance for a while and buy something else.

He might want to consider keeping comprehensive coverage on it, just in case. That would still be pretty cheap though. My problem would be having it parked in the garage and resisting the temptation to take it out once in a while.

I was in a similar situation where I was considering selling my FD along with trading in my truck to get prepared for the eventual baby. Surprisingly, my wife was the one who convinced me to keep it. It was paid for and it would probably be hard to find another one like it in similar shape when I was ready for another one. She reminded me how much I love it and how much I would regret getting rid of it.

One problem... I *did* get an '05 G35x ( http://smackfu.net/images/g35x/ ) and that car is almost as fun to drive as the FD so the FD has basically been sitting around waiting for us to get rid of our townhouse and get something with a garage or room to build a shop. Poor FD still has the boost leak I got on the way to Rotorfest in 2004 .

I'm glad I still have it, even though it makes me sad neglecting it so much. Would have been kicking myself in the *** if I had sold it, especially if whoever bought it ragged it out. Guess I'll have to make it up by turning the FD into something that totally blows away driving the G35 when I get the chance.

anyway... whatever your decision I hope it works out for you, the G35x is a kick *** car,, but if you're anything like me, you will regret getting rid of your FD.
