I don't know about the specs either. But I do know that the R-1 models specs differ from country to country, and there is a few freak models in the US. For example, there are R-1's with factory sunroofs, and there are R-1's with leather seats...touring models with 2 oil coolers... All kinds of weird ****, but yes, vosko is right! There are just a few strange ones that slipped out somewhere!

Hmm.. Let me give this a shot.
Efini is the badge Mazda uses in Japan to market their upper class cars, kinda like Lexus for Toyota, Acura for Honda. They were thinking of following the lead of the others and releasing a luxury badge in the US, but at the time they were not doing so hot and so for financial reasons decided not to.
Anyways, as with any other japanese sports cars, the Efini Rx7's do have more horse power etc...
I'm only familiar with the 98-99 models, which has different turbo setup (They changed the turbines etc..) and intake/exhaust which give it around 280hp stock. (US version stock was 255HP). I do believe the suspension changed also, but do not know the specific on that.
