Can't really go wrong with the ACT S/S...

os giken, exedy, orc are good brands to start with... be prepared to spend well over 2000 dollars though

vosko 08-21-2005 09:57 PM

i'm pretty sure exedy is the easiest to get in the USA

FikseRxSeven 08-21-2005 10:23 PM

exedy doesnt necessarily require a pull to push adapter either

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...TRK%3AMEWA%3AIT found this on e bay... multi plate clutches are rebuildable so... if you get that and after inspection think that you cant use it, you can get new discs and plates amd make it almost like new again

Why would you need a triple plate? Are you going 20B?

Since this was brought up and I am also in the market for a new clutch. I was wondering what the difference is between a double and triple plate clutch setup? Personally I'm looking at getting an Exedy since the ones I've found are more reasonably priced then OS Giken...but man would a Giken be nice.

FikseRxSeven 08-22-2005 01:23 AM

twin plate has 2 clutch discs 4 friction surfaces, and triple plate has 3 discs with 6 friction surfaces

usually the more plates you have the more you can afford to lose on the diameter of the clutch... smaller clutch= less weight=more power to the wheels. more plates=more grip= lots of loot

Thanks for that explanation Fikse. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png
