[quote name='GreyGT-C' date='May 7 2005, 11:26 AM']the OLD knioghtsports dual exhaust.

twin presilensers and twin canister mufflers. dunno if it's quieter than stock, i haven't had a stock one in 8 years to compare it to.

I had that 61k mile vert this winter and it was so quiet it made me wish mine was quiet again

quiet also equals smooth when everything doesnt rattle from the noise

[quote name='Rob x-7' date='May 7 2005, 06:31 PM']I have never been a fan of soild mounts and engine braces in any car, all they do is transmit any and all vibration to the frame and through the car.

Agreed on the solid motor mounts. I rode with someone who had solid ones and they were pretty harsh.

But I don't know...I'm actually happy with my Gotham brace. It took me awhile to get it tightened and adjusted just right, but now the extra vibration is minimal and it got rid of that "spoon in a bowl of jello" shake of the shifter. I'm also thinking it may help prolong the life of my stock motor mounts. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

LOL, I have never heard the stock exhaust system. Guess I don't know what I'm missing. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

Yes, the engine torque brace/dampner. I picked up a used one pretty cheap. I had heard complaints about the vibration but still wanted to try one. And it did vibrate a bit, generally at idle and in a slow start from stop. It took a few adjustments over a time to get just the right tension on it, but now it's really pretty quiet.

Getting old is right. I took my son to his Tee ball game the other day in my 3rd gen and I was happy to be crusing in under radar. As far as the motor mounts go I had OEM ones in my car with no problems also. When I got the stiff ones I was just trying out something different. They are coming off either way. The motor mounts with the torque brace did improve throttle response some but at this point I would rather have the smoothness back. I've got a good set of low milage motor mounts that should do nicely.

Maybe, but the stock one is doing fine for now. I'll keep it in mind.
