I was taxing this poor guys new Celica yesterday (They handle VERY WELL, I must say). We left post, and he kinda acted like he was pushing me to speed up, so I did. The first turn is about 90 degrees to the right... I hit in in second, and punched it on my way out of the turn... Well, you know what a BPU FD does in second coming WOT out of a turn... EXACTLY... I kept it sideways and hit third and straightened out. He was like 7-8 cars back... We stayed in the limits of speed as marked by the local law enforcement.. 55.



We stayed on the flat until the exit for 64 toward STL... Well, I headed into the ramp at like 50... Him right behind..The exit goes a full circle around and its sharp as hell... Well, he was on my ***... WTF? So I speed up. 55-57ish now... He falls back a hair..



Well as I sped up I heard this weird clicking from my left front wheel. Oh, well... I'm not losing to a Celica...



I go faster...63ish as I come up on the last part of the turn...3rd gear...

PUNCH IT... Well, poor mr Toyota is Lost now... In a cloud of carbon... And as I start to straighten out, the clicking goes away.. ???



When I get to my final destination, I make yet another right turn. And theres the clicking... More like a whack whack whack whack..... Only when I go right...



Well, car stops with one last click... More like a thud... when I get in the parking space...



GET THIS ****:



The ******* rod that holds the brake shoes in the caliper was sliding out when I turn right... The spokes on the rims were whacking and bending the **** out of it. Had this mother ****** gone any farther out, I would have ripped off my caliper. JESUS!!!



Well, I took off the wheel, removed the bent-*** rod, and straightened it. The cotter pin had broke, so I replaced it.



That **** was scary... REAL scary.



Sorry for the long *** story.



The guy in the celica caught up by the way... Before I exited... And bowed down. So did his girl!! I guess he was surprised how fast these Miatas are!

Dude, I was SO freaked out when I saw that ****!!! I was like "WTF!!!"



Well, I still whoopied up on the Celica! Good thing he didn't see my brakes fly off and me end up in a ditch!
