How You Run Your Boost Gauge Line

Where do you guys run your boost gauge line from the Intake Manifold to the interior (A Piller) of the FD. I am going to install one this weekend and any advices will be highly appericated.

Are you using regular vacuum line the whole way? IMO, the best way is to use a gauge that uses a small diameter plastic line to the gauge... this way you just run this tiny plastic pipe.



Run it through the steering column grommet using a piece of a coat hangar to break through and guide it through....

Running a vac line the whole way, would make for an inaccurate gauge, you want the shortest about of vacuum line. They make mechanical boost guages? stupid imo.

Hmm, I have mine going to the extra nipple on the passenger side of the intake manifold. Maybe I'll run it to the same place the map sensor reads?

not necessarily better. Somewhere after the intercooler. That's where all of mine are.

i run a vac lin the whole way. what is the BEST way then?keepin all accuracy

I ran mine from the UIM nipple, and then drilled a small hole in the firewall. Then run the hose along the left of the dash and into the A pillar.
