the time has now come to get rid of those, just wondering how. What bolts do i need to take off to get them out , does the downpipe have to be removed? Does anyone have pictures of their change over? I cant wait, single power here I come.

Its a pretty big job if you have never done it before. The first time I tackled this job it took all day, it seemed so, with the help of a friend. I took them off recently in a 1 1/2hr by miyself. But, I've done it a few. Prolly helpfull to have a extra hand around. First off you'll have to take everything off the turbos: intake, intake pipes, y pipe, crossover tube, downpipe, and anything else that I can't think of at the moment. Then you need to unclamp the coolant hoses, have somthing ready to plug the holes, undo the 2 oil drain lines and unscew the oil feed line ontop. Now unbolt the turbos from the manifold, 8 bolts total if I remember correctly. You may have to use a crowbar to get the turbos worked lose from the mani. Now just work them lose and lift them out from the top.

Tools needed: 1/4in and 3/8in wratchet, 10mm, 12mm, 14mm, 17mm sockets and wrenches. Pliers and screwdrivers. Also some liquid wrench is helpfull to break stuborn bolts lose.

Good luck! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

do you remember what sizes the bolts that connect the turbo to the mani are? and are they differnt sizes or all one size.

Thought they where all 17mm except for one 14mm. But, im not

sure and I just reinstalled mine last week. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/dunno.gif Bad memory! You should have a complete mm wrench and socket set anyways.

Nope they are 14mm. and one 12. Go check. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

You must be thinking of the motor mounts. There are not many 17mm's on the car. I can disassemble my entire car with a bag full of tools. Actually come to think of it I did just disassemble a whole car with a bagfull of tools. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/ohmy.png

I'll take your word for it, its dark outside. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png But my motor mount nuts are 14mm. I just tightend them down this evening while changing the oil, maybe my car is diffrent. And after thinking about the turbo bolts, im pretty sure I used a deepsocket 17mm. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/dunno.gif I can fit my whole tool box in a bag. It helps to have a few odd and helpfull tools though. Like angled needlenose pliers, extendable magnet, small screwdriver bits to use with a 1/4 socket, ice pick and hammer etc.... https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683827.gif

Anyways, we are getting https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683621.gif
