How Does A Blown Motor Feel?

if the motors blown its hard to start and usually either idles rough or not at all, but runs ok and makes power. sounds like you've got something else wrong

meaning..... only way to surely determine it is to get a compression test, or at least listen to the swooshes with the plugs out.

welp did the generic test with plugs out, all fine.



Im looking and looking but not seeing any cables that are disconnected or anything of the like. I was getting a couple random codes (6,13, 28, 30,38) but I cleared a couple of them but the others are due to no emissions things (i think). My map sensor wire was a bit mangled from the previous owner so replacing that removed 13, code 6 just comes and goes as my speedo is having issues which I still need to track down. What about a possible bad turbo? How would I diagnose that? Honestly i don't hear them spooling up right like they were before so that's some slight cause for concern.



Anyways, thanks for the suggestions thus far.

u didnt blow ur motor i am pretty sure about that. if its running then its not gone. any boost? did u do that compression yet? i think u should be okie just ur got vac problems or blown turbos.
