Thumbs up

Any of you guys know how I lower my stock springs? The silver ring at the bottom comes loose and winds all the way down. The top one (black) doesn't seem to want to turn without moving the base where the bottom of the spring is sitting. So I guess the pressure of the spring is holding it in place. It is loose but it wont turn round. Ideas?

I know my Tein suspension came with 2 "wrenches." I haven't bothered with adjusting it, but I think that they have something to do with the (black rings on ours, silver and black on yours) and adjusting them. I could be horribly wrong though, so wait until someone who knows what's up responds.

maybe use a spring compressor to get the pressure off of the base

I just recently bought an aftermarket universal "spanner" wrench that works great to spin the lower spring perch to lower (or raise) my car. I got it at a local performance shop. Before that I used a strap wrench.

All you need is the right size c-spanner.

Or jack the car up and take the weight off the wheel and turn the perches to lower it.

you need to find the correct size spanner wrenches. black ring is for adjustability. silver ring is to lock the black ring in place. try not to strip the notches on the rings.

yeah, just get the weight off of it. or like they said, spring compressor always works but just be careful. i know on some of my buddys cars the top one sticks, you kinda have to break it loose and spin it back and forth. it can be one hell of a bitch
