both read on the PFC commander



temp 112c, or 233f. got this high after i parked the car.



and a knock reading of 110...



edit: ohh yeah the car seemed to buck down while boostin at around 12 in second gear. thats when i think i got the knock reading....

where you beating on the car ?



temp CAN go that high but it shouldn't



knock should be less than 50!!



i would say let boostn7 check the car.... he is amazing with the PFC

me beat up on a car.....never.



see this is why i miss the FB so much. beat it to hell and back, if soemthing breaks, it wont break me.lol



it was kinda cool yesterday also...maybe i should learn how to operate all them electronics gadgets...

112 after being parked for a while isn't unheard of. Maybe think about doing the fan mod.



110 knock is kinda high, but you can't trust the knock reading really. All a knock sensor does is detect vibration. A loud *** exhaust can throw the readings out of whack. It will fluctuate alot while cruising around, but should be pretty low during a WOT pull. My car usually stays around 30-40 peak at WOT. Make sure the sensor is tight in the block.

if the knock reading happened during the "bucking"...that's probably true knock. You could turn the PIM voltage up in that rpm range as a quick fix, or take it to a reputable rx7 "tuner" to get it up and running properly. Whoever did Justin's (Demetrious?) has a wideband/datalogit and can do it with 3 easy runs.

My car was running suprisingly lean on the base mod maps in the PFC

i pmed him through here yesterday. no response yet. the car was tuned by a sister(i think) shop of bullisg racing, with the solaras.

i guess when ever hes got some time is cool with me. except fridays and beer tuesdays and thursdays.....hehe
