Well my friend and I were driving his '93 Touring model Rex with 37k miles on it.. On our way home, he took off pretty quick, and all of a sudden the car started smoking like crazy. We pulled over, and oil was spraying out the bottom of the car, so he got it towed......My only question is what happened. I think an oil line might have cracked or come loose, I dont think it did anything to the motor because after it started smoking the car still ran fine. He has only had this car for about a month so i hope it didnt ruin the motor, . All the help that you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Well.......this kid is an idiot, hes a rich boy who has too much money. The "oil plug" fell out of the bottom of his car (according to him). So he just threw in a few more quarts of oil, and hes driving it now. I gave him a list from Rob Robinettes website about the reliability modifications he should do to his Rx-7 but he just gave me back the paper and said "if i blow the motor i will get a 3 rotor from a cosmo and transplant it myself..................". So oh well im not messing with him again. I know more about an rx-7 than he does and i dont even have one . Ill get one some day (wishful thinking is always good). thanks for your help on his "blown oil line"....
