Sounds like the turbos are working to me. As long as you dont get any smoke from the tail pipe your turbos are running good.

I guess I just assumed you knew what that meant.

sometimes oil can get back there if your tranny or engine is leaking a little. it will blow back while your driving or drip on the exhaust and run back there to the lowest point. take it apart and see if theres oil inside

he meant the turbo y-pipe Shane, not the exhaust y-pipe. Fds are single exhaust.

Had a similar problem a while back after I changed my oil. I put too much oil in, and oil got through the PCV system to the turbo intake, pooled in the Y-pipe, and dripped out from there.

I cleaned out the Y-pipe, drained a little oil out so the oil was halfway on the dipstick, and I was good to go.

But, if you have a turbo barfing oil on the intake side, I could see it puddling in the Y-pipe and leaking out there. But, check the easy stuff first.

I do know what you meant. You on the other hand did not remember what you originally wrote, which is what I pointed out. BTW, I spoke to my instructor. I got your *** covered. Just hand the flange over to me this weekend and I will get it welded up Monday night for you.

Hi Dale,

That's it! I had changed my engine oil the previous day. I like to fill it up to the F-mark, and got the same sitiuation as you. I guess the little extra oil has now cleared out by itself through the o-ring, since the leak stopped completely. I went for a ride, boost pressure pattern and values are fine, so I think the o-ring is fine as well, and it was just a case of slight overfilling. I'm still going to replace the Greddy hoses with hump type hoses just to eliminate any stress on the y-pipe o-ring. On the net I found oil overfilling is a common problem with Volvo's turbos, but I never heard of this happening to an RX7..

Thanks guys
