if you decide to keep the heater.. i have 2 cores in storage. Let me know... If you ditch it.. the best thing to do is remove the piping and cap the nipples at the Waterpump housing (bottom of passenger side) and the nipple on the rear housing (bottom of drivers side). this not only eliminates a small amount of weight.. if eliminates a few possible leak points.

I dunno. The reason I said it is because the smallest heater I can fit to my car is one out of a mini, and one of those is quite big including all the switchgear etc. And with the extra water I'd imagine there'd be a good bit of weight overall.

So it doesnt hurt the motor to block off that line. because i have mine looped back into each other but i would rather remove it all together so i can get some more clearance around my single setup. anyways i thought it was for cooling in the motor also but if thats not true. then i know what i am doing tomorrow

if youve already looped that line..

not much more left to do outside of line deletion up to the rear housing port...

asssumption is that youve already removed the related blower.. core and ducting...

doesnt make sense to loop it if you havent done a complete removal..

runnin the heater on high provides very little change in coolant temp...

wont hurt the motor... your actually removing failure points on the coolant system as grey have already stated..

keep in mind that youve also removed your ability to use the heater to clear your windshield..

most id gather who have done this mod have already removed the ac as well ... so that option is out...

imho...unless this is a track specific car dont bother..

amp yep a/c heater is long gone. didnt work when i bought the car. i spent in my opinion a ton of money fixing it for minimal results so i decided to scrap it all together. but i thought the line was for additional cooling to the engine block. but since it seems thats not the case i will be more than happy to remove it from the car. living in florida and with garage parking my car doesnt leave me with a frosty windshield to often. and i am leaving the blower motor in for now so i can "try" to make some ducting to attach it to the vents so i can still blow some air if i need to. it should be a fun little project.

and use fogx for times when drivin in the rain...

lol i just dont care about defrosting. since i live in a climate thats 70f+ year round. plus it hasnt worked in two years so thats two years i have gone without the ability to defrost my windshield or cool myself in traffic. i want to keep the blower for rain driving though as it would tend to fog. but i still drive with my windows cracked to help that. anyways to each there own right fellas
