First off ever sense I have had the car the damn RE headlight has been nothing be a nightmare. I believe that the person who put them in was retarded. Now the lights turn on when ever they want, so I have to disconnect the battery all the time. Then sometimes they won't even come on at all, I have checked and checked but I can't find the short or the bad relay. What is weird is that the tail lights don't work either, but the brake lights do. I am about to buy all new relays, but would rather just find the bad one and save $$. Can anyone help me out? Thanks

Who did the install? Best thing to do would be to get the service manual and start tracing the wiring. I am having problems with my lights as well. Stock pop-ups with upgraded bulbs. They keep shorting out and blowing the headlight fuse. I briefly looked for shorts, but haven't found anything yet. If I don't find the problem tomorrow I think I will just run new wires from the switch to the headlights.

There's a relay on the passenger side(our passenger side, not US model). Replace that one. Did you check to see if he did the install correct? I did mine solo and have had no problems...you should put a transfer in for Okinawa

The wiring is all f*cked up, I am going to rewire it all. I just don't have time to be messing with it right now. I hate electrical problems, the relay is the one with the 3 connecters running into them? I wish I could go down there, but I am a crew chief on f16's so I am screwed. I am going to drive down there though.

I swapped in a relay off another car. Same problem. The lights worked for a minute, but as soon as I started driving they flickered and shut off. The wiring going to that relay is melting.

I fixed the problem with a friends help, we both looked over everthing to do with the headlights. They checked out fine, so we moved to the inside of the car. After tearing apart the dash, we fould a ghetto rigged turbo timer. Some how the turbo timer was causing a short it was drawing power for two different power sources. Disconnected the timer and the light magically worked like they should. Then the fans wouldn't work, so I started over again. I wired them so they stay on all the time when the ignition is on.
