Sometimes when I drive and come to a stop, I have a hard time putting it back into first. I have a hard time putting it in other gears as well. I would have to try a few times to put it in first. Sometimes, I would have to put it in second and then back to first.

Anyone know whats wrong?

 

do you have an upgraded clutch? try revving before putting it into gear.. you might need to adjust your clutch pedal if you have a different pressure plate to adjust the fulcrum.

 

Nope, stock clutch..

I asked a friend (another FD owner) and he said my clutch might be slipping. NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

 

no its not the clutch. when is the last time you changed the tranny fluid ? try some redline MT90 in it

 

or your synchros are going south.

 

how about the clutch hydralics?

my car does the exact same thing. i cant get it to go into first, i have to try a few times. sometimes it wont go into first untill i am at a complete stop.

That could be the synchro....



I dont actually down shift into first since this likes to happen over time. I just put it in second and roll, then neutral to a stop.
