Thumbs up

I was wondering if anybody here has made their own duct for the Greddy SMIC, and would like to share the measurements and how to? Since the stock duct does not fit properly. Im thinking about using aluminum. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

i thought the smic was a drop-in piece..or is that only if you use the greddy elbow?

It is a direct drop in piece. Very easy to install. The problem is that Greddy does not supply an air duct. It will work with the stock duct. The IC is just bigger than the duct, so there is a gap around the edges. Thus, the duct does not seal to the IC. I've been using it with the stock duct along with many other people. I just want to make it more efficient by sealing the duct and IC, so that all the incoming air will be forced threw it.

you should take the stock duct out, and measure the difference in the gap.....and then add an inch or whatever is needed and make a fiberglass one....it would be simple.....

Yea, I plan on measuring like you said. But, I think I am gonna use sheet metal or aluminum. I really am unfamiliar with how to fabricate fiberglass. Where I get if from? How do you fabricate it? Does it come in a liquid form and you mold it? I'll look into that. Thanks for the idea.
