I got my greddy pully kit to remove the air pump but am confused if block off plates are suppposed to be used when putting this on. Some people use the block off plates and others don't do a damn thing. Will it be ok to put the pully kit on w/o using block off plates? thanks again

Block off plates aren't neccesary unless you plan on removing the AIC(or whatever it's called). Just chuck the air pump.

You don't need to use any block off plates, BUT you will need to plug a pipe that goes to the UIM. Install the pulley kit, and start the car. Check any pipe by placing hand over the inlet...if it's sucking air, then put a cap on it. Plastic table ends work good. |

Do you have to pass emissions? If you don't then you just have to buy the ACV BOP.

is the ACV the little weird looking thing on the bottom of the LIM? Im removing that, solinoid rack (PFC fo Life!), EGR, AWS, and airpump. I was just wondering if the was the ACV https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/dunno.gif

yes that acv is the wierd little thing that the airpump hose plugs into, its on the LIM.

hi guys, just had my greddy pulley kit installed today and now the car idles like crap...fluctuates badly at idle. I put my hand over the pipe that the airpump connects too (it blows out air, does not suck air and stops blowing air after 3krpm i believe) and it seemed to smooth out the idle so I guess if I plug that up will my fluctuating idle stop? Somebody told me I have to turn the idle adjustment screw way up to compensate for the idle and that I will need an ecu tuned for "no airpump". I hope that's not the case. Thanks for the help!

Plug up the pipe that is pumping air out, or cut out a little BOP to remove those pipes. If it still idles crappily, then you can either get a S-AFC or a different ECU to compensate less fuel at idle.
