I have just bought a greddy e-01 boost controller. Just need to know is it as good as a power fc if i get the E-manage too?? Also has anyone installed this boost controller on an rx-7... How good is it as a boost controller... Looks great...



Also I have a greddy electronic boost gauge.. will it work without a control link unit... Cuz the wiring diagram i have is in jaoenese but from what i can make out it seems pretty simple and i don't see the link unit anywhere in the diagram... can anyone tell me where i can find installation instructions??

i heard wiring up the emanage is pretty hard.... plus for the amount of options needed to add onto the emanage to make it like a power FC it'll run you over 500... so the e-01 plus the emanage you mine as well get a used Pfc...

 

If you get the greddy SMI gauges they can all be link to each other, like defi. But the nice thing is the E01 can plug into the e-manage and you can plug almost anything greddy into it. Turbo timer/gauges/ exc...... It shows it all in the pictures that come with the kit. About the e-manage, I have heard that you can only adjust +20/-20 with timing and fuel. So you are limited to how much you can tune.

 

whats the difference in price between this and the pfc?

 

emanage is cheap around $300, the e01 is between $400-600 depends where you go. PFC is normal about a $1000 if you get a good deal, $1200-1400 new

 

The E-manage is NOT a stand alone ECU. It's a piggy back system. I would strongly recomend getting the Power FC over this. But I think it all depends on you mods. If you are just have basic mods.. like intake and exhaust and keeping around stock boost. Then you should be OK with the E-manage.
