Its done from the top. Pretty easy job. I have a C's in my car.....Love it! be even better if my car shifted properly but thats a different story.

I doubt there is a "best short shifter." Because, every person finds each short shifter different.
Because I personally like B&M and Hurst short shifters. Call me a redneck I suppose.
