Be careful taking them apart. From what I've heard the outer rim part is actually out of round on most multi piece rims. When they are bolted together they then become a perfect circle.



It would be a real bitch to figure out how to get the outer part of the wheel round so you can bolt the center back into it...make sense?

I think you can use this stuff call Aircraft Stripper its in a spray can at like wal-mart ...it very very abrasive i know for a fact that it eats the paint off cars with no problem down to the metal. you may want to check it out (read back of can first) but thats the strongest **** i know of! hope it works for you

Yeah, Aircraft Stripper is no joke. That stuff'll bubble up paint within 15 seconds or so. Use disposable gloves when working with the stuff and have a source of running water nearby. A little dab on your skin and within a minute it will go from cool-feeling to tingly to warm to hot to stinging to extremely painful. Don't ask me why I left it on my skin so long...



I recommend the low-odor or no-odor version since it's easier to work with for prolonged periods. The low-odor/no-odor stuff comes in a gallon sized can so you can just glop it onto the areas that need stripping.

that stuff is great, i wouldnt use it on rims though...

I love those rims.
