I've searched and only been able to find out how to remove the cluster. Well I have removed it and that's not the problem. I want to replace the bulbs with LEDs. If I just pop the LEDs in the back, it will probably lead to "hot spots" and I won't have even light distribution. I have the black and the clear covers off and I want to know what is the proper way to remove the gauges from the back cover(white piece). Thanks for help, Ryan.

there should be small bolts holding them on...they are goldish in color...just take those out with a screw driver and disconnect the wires...they should come right out...to take out the speedometer you have to first take out the tach or the other way around not sure..also make sure not to damage the green wire board on the back of the whole cluster

The needle has to be removed before you can remove the gauge. You might want to make sure you top off the gas tank and take note of where your mph and tach sync up with each other or your going to have a hell of a time recalibrating them.

The needles can be popped off with a flat head and some patience.

when you say hot spots do you mean the bulb will be hot or more of a focused light?

LED dont create heat so there will be no heat. if you mean a more focused spot light go with a different bulb like the LED wedge. they are shaped so the light doesnt just emit forward but to the sides also.
