Frozen Bolts

my god damn bolts on my exhaust are frozen and very rusty. would WD-40 work or is there some special solution or should i just cut the bastards with my dremel?

(i just got cat back exhaust thats y i am asking)

1/2 hour soak in WD-40 always works for me. I wouldn't worry about those bolts too much, they're easy to replace. It's manifold studs that get ya.

Go to your local auto parts store and buy "The Original PB Blaster"

Works about ten times better than wd-40

Soak them up and let them sit for 15 min. Put the box end of a wrench on the nut , slip a 15" section of pipe over the wrench and pull.

They will come loose for sure.

ya pb blaster is the ****, just soak....loosen a little, soak, tighten, soak, it'll come out

also another tip, if the bolt/nut is turning slowly and very hard.. make sure you take time between turns of the wrench/socket.. heat can build up and cause the bolt/stud to snap.. just take your time.. soak and resoak till it starts coming out smoothly.

guess what didnt take my time got pissed and snapped both bolts.

whatever its a learning experience. thanks though i will keep that in mind.
