Really Fellas,
I thought I knew heat from living in Fl for several years.....nothing compares to the heat of the the DFW Metroplex....as I'm sure Sliver 93 can attest to ....it never lets up! It was 109 three days ago! WTF
My baby doesn't go outside on days like that.....!
Either way Stock mount or F/M, I've seen em' all - different strokes for different folks...let's all try and be cool with one another during this f'in summmer heat (enough to drive you mad fellas).

Just used some Duplicolor wheel paint I found at Autozone. Took the wheels off the car, cleaned with wheel cleaner. Then I masked off the rubber sidewalls of the tires and sprayed a few coats. Let dry for a couple hours and put back on car.

I've had both FMIC and SMIC, both with a stock radiator. I didn't notice higher water temps at all...and I had the SMIC in the winter, and the FMIC in the summer.
The best cooling mod I got for my car was the FC Datalogit...when I got this, I turned my fans on at 85 and 90 C and no more high water temps.

No problems on the street. I sealed of my Koyo with thick A/C weather stripping to force air THROUGH the rad car rather than around it. You will like the FMIC if your car is a "street fighter". You'll always be ready for "combat", without worrying about heat soak--like you would with a large SMIC, or V-mount.
FWIW, V-mount is more suited to track driving in warm climates like the south and southwest. For those of us here int he midwest, FMIC is just fine for track street. Also V-mount and SMICs would benefit greatly from a vented hood like a Scoot. Of course those of us with FMICs could also use the extra ventillation the Scoot-type hood offers to allow the hot air to escape.
If you autocross or drag race, you know the ill-effects heat soak can have on your IC, and the front-mount is less prone to heat soak, thus your times on the cone and straight courses tend to reflect this...
