Could anyone tell me if I would need an after market ECU or would the standard ECU be 'ok' i know that the air flow will be increased...

The current mods are a after market 'cat back' tanabe exhaust and twin Hks induction kit, Hks blow off valve.. standard block, standard turbos..

advice would be appriciated

It doesn't necessarily increase the amount of air, it just cools and condenses the air. Fmic will help lower your underhood temps and add some power but not a ton. A large Fmic you usually get to prepare for a larger turbo that's going to build more heat. As far as the Ecu, I don't see why it couldn't run off the stock one. If you start increasing boost and swapping to larger injectors, then you'll need an Ecu to get her properly tuned

I was just concerned because ive spoken to a few people and they say i wouldnt be able to run a fmic off a standard ecu? im just worried about causing any damage thats all, i have the chance to get one but havent yet .. the ecu would obviously be costing in excess of £700, so i didnt want to be doing that unless i really need to... Thanks both of you

I've also heard fords are reliable, but have yet to see it lol people talk and too many of them think they know more than anyone else. Take everything with a grain of salt lol. The MAP (manifold absolute pressure sensor) and intake air temp sensor will notice the changes from the Fmic and will adjust the fuel map accordingly.
