I've noticed all the post from guys in Japan and a few from the states moved their radiator to a vertical or standard type mount. Is this a good Idea? How hard is it to do? I have a Fluidyne in the stock location.

 

That's a good question, I've also got the same set up now.

 

Very easy to do. You can even do it with your stock radiator, or you can

get another to make it easier since it will already include the brackets and such.



It has been popular in Japan for a long time. I dont know why say like the V-mount was never all that popular, but as you can see Panspeed in a picture in one of the other threads still uses a V-mount, but they are one of the very few. R-magic does, but only on the FC as far as I know the rest are vertical.



I have the vertical mount also, IMHO is forces the air to go threw it more then a V-mount unless you do some MAD ducting.



Your fluidyne should be set-up for vertical.。。。

 

Thanks Jason. When you say easy, are we talking weld a couple of brackets to the bay and bolt in easy? Or, weld some brackets to the radiator and bay plus custom fit some new hoses type easy?

 

Well yeah you will need some new hoses, but its easy to cut to fit. You might be able to use your current hoses or hose, but those Mazda ones after you cut them are kind of crappy looking and loose their strength.



So yeah just some brackets easy. I didnt have to do any welding.... I mean if you want it 100% vertical with no camber then that is beyond me since space for something like that is a little tuff to comeby. This is as vertical as mine is.

Thanks alot Jayschizzle. All I need now is the front mount. I was going to go Greddy but I might have a hook up on a Spearco. Anyone know anything about Spearco's
