with my new exaust set up i was hoping to see a lot of fireballs heh but dave at KDR said not the way it was tuned with the 1300cc's he showed my how to futs in the rev/idle f/c settings in the PFC but even then i get a small spark... sometimes. i was wondering what is a firebal is it when the exause it so hot it ignites exess fuel being dumped or what. how do u make one. should i be in gear on like a highway to get one or can it be done in idle. do i have to beat the snot outta the car to get the exause hot enough (please say no i dont like that idea) and if anyone has a similar setup as i do with a PFC please help me out

oh yea and heh if anyone has pics of theyre cars shootin flames post the pics, nothin hotter than a fast car with dragon breath

thanks a lot, mike

I beleive its just the heat in the exhuast igniting the unburnt fuel.

yeah thats all it is. You can do that pretty much if your map is kinda rich. Before i had a powerFC, when i was using a pettit unlimited with 10psi boost, full exhaust.. blah blah blah blah.. on a stock motor.. i could shoot fireballs back and forth. Now its pretty much standard with an open wastegate and T-78...

This is one way to shoot flames out the exhaust.

hehe, i'm just messing around, to be honest my car shoots flames to the point that it annoys me and it attracts unwanted attention. Basically if it were running better, it wouldn't do that, which is why i can't understand why anyone would want their car to run poorly. But i guess if your car does shoot flames than it would be cool to be able to burninate stuff on command. I'll try to get a pic for you next time i take the car out.

There are supras that actually put an additional spark plug in their exhaust. If you do that all you ahve to do is program your ECU to run rich, and time a spark. Really big flames that way. Check some supra forums to see how they do it.
