I'm proud to report that my nearly 2 year rebuild project is finally done. I am able to start and drive the car for the first time in a couple years. The engine rebuild was constantly being delayed by either a lack of available funds to buy parts, or lack of available time to install said parts once they arrived.

Now that it's running, I have a bit left to do. I'm still running stock sequentials, and from what I can tell, there seems to be something amiss in the 2nd turbo control system. under boost, about 5k, the car falls apart. no power, sputtering, etc. I haven't had a lot of chance to sort through it yet, since I'm still working on getting the clutch bled enough to have the friction point more than 1/2 inch off the firewall, and still need to get through emissions and licensing.

Any pointers for where I should start looking, before I pull off the intake manifold and just start checking all the vaccuum lines again?

Thanks,

Sivart

Well, disregard the need for help...looks like it was just trying to get the last of the old gas out of the system. Filled up with new gas, and the car is running great. Seem to have a good 10-8-10 pattern, no smoking, no leaking.

Now I just have to get my 2 year exemption on emissions, and I'll be in good shape.

Other than the car, just been trying to keep up with a toddler, working, etc. Picked up a bike for a commuter. It's nice getting 40+ mpg, and having better performance than the FD...
