Two things:

1: You can openly use words like ****, ****, ***, ****, and ***** on Nopistons.com

and

2: You did post on friday LOL, but we got hacked and lost a few hours of posts.

Enjoy

montego, yes ... well I was anyway. Uh As of lastnight she left me stranded. (no spark) The first week she was hitting 1bar ran great! I mean awsome. Then all of a sudden started hitting fuel cut at awkward times.

I did some looking around and the i had blown off the nipple on the wastegate.(scarry) fixed it and then it wouln't go over .7 (about 10 psi) Then I started getting codes for the MAP sensor.

Replaced it whith known good unit. Then I started getting codes for OMP and code 22? whatever that is. The omp is blocked off but the unit is still plugged in.

As of last night she left me on the side of the road. Just up and stopped sparking. Im going to try a different ECU from a friend tonight.

Only a week and a half till Deals gap I'll be pissed if I have to drive the wifs WRX.

Srce, thanks. I wasn't sure. Anyway ive been watching what I say lately i have a 1.5yr old who is starting to say words. So thats what happened to my vette post! Geez I thought I was loosing my mind!

Speedracer

Thanks for sharing your results- I was starting to re-do my vac hoses, and got sick of looking at all that stuff under there. So, your post will be the impetus to go non-sequential.

What did you use for guidance on the non-seq conversion? There's plenty of places to turn, but I was curious about what you had used.

Here's a general question: I have a PFC on the car. Will I need to put resistors on the solenoids, or is that just for the stock ECU?

Thanks!

You don't need to put resistors if you have a powerfc.

Thanks.

As for procedure, is the one listed at Scuderia Ceriani still the best method (and vac hose chart)??

Well this has been awsome. Still no problems with my basic set up. I've had a few other demons pop up that don't hasve to do with the swap over but i think Im going to do a write up on this whole thing it is just so easy. I am now down to a total of 6...yes thats right 6 vac hoses under the hood of this FD. That includes the boost guage. No engine codes on the factory ECU and shes just absolutely insane fast.

The boost starts coming on about 2500rpm or so,full up about 3500. it happens QUICK! I had found an intake leak earlier this week when I was cleaning the throttle body, so now my idle is more stable then it has ever been even with the 9.5lb flywheel.

The site you listed above gcthree. I didn't like the way he ran his lines. From what I can tell the ecu still atleast controls the wastegate solenoid.

Anyway look for a full writeup WITH pics soon. I should be getting my digital camera back soon from my wife breaking it.

Opps I need to update on that problem I had. I didn't secure the OMP wire on the bottom of the water pump. It fell down and got tangled in the e-shaft crank position sensor metal thingy. (Hence no spark, no omp hence trouble codes)

I fixed it all and shes fine again.
