Is that jack yamaguchi book any good? I'm really only interested in the FD, not really interested in RX7s in general and am so-so interested in wankels. Does this book go pretty in-depth on the development of the FD?

Thanks!

My favorite car ever since I was a kid was a Corevet. I had many chances to get one instead of the RX-7 and I still got my FD. I love it. My wife even offered me to sell my FD to get a brand new BMW and I still didn't sell it. Those beemers are nice though.

Get an MR2 first. I REALLY don't think you know what you're getting yourself into with the FD.

My FD has been in the same place for 6 months.
mine was in the same place for 6 months also, but now that i see it....... however long it took, it was worth it

As long as I know I have one it wouldnt really bother me much if it was in the shop, unless it was there for along time.

4rotorrocket: get the car no matter what everyone else says, if youre attached to a car, then get it. 19+for a car that doesnt go faster than a 12k fd is honestly foolish. i got screwed just like many others with buying an fd; motor blew 2 weeks after i got it. sat for 7 months (not all my fault) then finally broke the thing in, and it still breaks now and then. i didnt have my heart set on an fd untill i bought a one way ticket to nc and figured i wouldnt have anything else to drive home if i didnt buy one. honestly i love my car and all the stupid little things that go with it.

now that ive spent near 22k total on my car, im in need to sell it because for some reason i dont want to work.

by buying an fd you will learn a LOT about the rotary and things with it because you wont have the money to pay someone to put some part in your car and you'll have to do it yourself. before i bought my car i researched them for about 3 months and honestly i didnt know ****, and i still dont compared to some, but it sure is fun to learn!

you probablly wont crash the car unless you become dumb and drive in rain/snow with bald tires (scarey *** stuff if your on drag radials)

buy a southern fd with very few mods like i did, or even buy one without a motor and start yourself. the impulse on buying a car like this is great and i believe im king of this, hell i was going to buy a caddie instead of this!

dont pay for stuff you dont need yourself, no matter what u get make damm sure its an expression of yourself, i like to go fast in a straight line but would like to run away from people in the turns so i built my car around that.

this is my sixth car@19 and the first ive ever owned with out a warrenty and trust me from expierence, you WILL learn the rotary!
