Trust me you made a good choice backing down. I jumped on my FD and paid out the *** for it. I got it for 15k and was like hum now i need some basic mods so i droped 5k into it then BANG! my engine blew, After that i put 8k more into it for the engine, wiring, and turbo rebuild. The only thing i can say i did good was take the FD off a person who never deserved to own such a car. I could kill that ******. I'v never seen so many things fucked and or short cuts taken in my life. Now 28k dollars later it still needs a new rad, paint job, driver side window switch, and driver side door handle. I think you would be wise to not get a FD.

Get an MR2 first. I REALLY don't think you know what you're getting yourself into with the FD.

My FD has been in the same place for 6 months.

I'm not sure that you should get a car unless you are truly emotionally attached to it - you're going to regret buying it otherwise. If you truly want an FD, then wait until you can afford one. You can find great deals every now and then. Don't 'settle' for a car. If not an rx7, there must be some other car you want. You had 20k to buy one before .. 20k goes a long way ... anyway, just don't settle for something. In my opinion, 2nd gen and 3rd gen cars are vastly different.

I will not settle driving anything but an RX7.I dont think I would own anything other than an RX7 but I would buy a RX8.
