well it finally happened, the 5th and reverse dont work anymomre. i was racing a SC m3 and after the

race i coulnt get in in 5th i tried again and it went in but wasnt smooth. then raced again and this time

i couldnt get into 5th at all. went to dunkin donuts after it was time to leave i realized that revere doesnt work either . i still beat the m3 , but i guess i will be needing a new tranyn or rebuild this one.

Ouch. Do you have an engine torque brace? After I raced FDOkinawa's rx-7 and blew my tranny, I fab'd an engine torque brace onto my engine and have had NO problems with shifting after that.

my tranny is having the same problem......... my quick fix is just step on the clutch for a second and let go of the gas..... then slowly push it into 5th..... it will grind a little but at least it goes in

 

you wanna buy my spare tranny and rebuild it ?

 

damn i would love to have a spare tranny, my first to second gear syncro (sp?) sucks

 

well i have one spare that is broken and taken apart @ jr's rotary....

 

Must be all that low end power! You guys race from idle? J/K. I had this problem. And since have rebuilt it 4 times and its still not 100%. Everyone from Malloy Mazda to KDR have rebuilt it. FD trannies. Just as bad as Old Borg Warner T-5's. I would suggest buying a new one. The price is just a bit more than a full rebuild. Good luck.
