I have done research on buying Rx7's, so I know that I should get the best I can, but if I am willing to try my hand at rebuilding the engine or having one rebuilt would it be worth it if the car is in good shape and I can get it for $3k-$4k?

 

I think $4k for an RX with a blown motor is way too much. I'd say look at about half that, unless the thing is absolutely immaculate.
