The FD Rox!



I had a chance to go on a 330 mile drive through Arkansas on HWY 20...Pretty much like taking your car on a rollercoaster ride.



On the drive were 3 FDs and 1 STI...My buddy with the STI is a good driver and I was able to hang with him through all the corners...When I was in front at one time I was able to pull ahead a little...Granted I have a single currently with about 380 and he has a stock STI (intake only) but still!



Here's a little video we took of the drive. Kinda bumpy and shakey in parts but was really fun..



Our 10 year old (soon to be 11 yo) cars friggin rock!

Argg, I should be in that video! I think I mentioned to you that the previous owner of my FD won 4 diviosional championships in ASP class in SCCA. These cars can handle!!

STIs aren't that fast... they are 300 hp, 300 ft-lbs, 3200 lbm with a mcpherson front suspension and semi trailing rear.



FD is 255 hp, 235 ft-lbs (I think), 2858 lbm with double control arm front and multilink full rear...



The FD could be said to be a more advanced platform than the STI, even if you factor in the fancy differentials of the STI.

What are you runing for suspention?

Stock R2 Shocks and H&R Sport springs.

fd is a race car, turned street car, sti is a family car, turned fast family car. I like the sti, but when it comes down to it, it's not even the same ball park.

Everyone always zooms in!! When ever I have someone in car I tell them to resist the tempatation to zoom.
