Just get the FD. It demands respect. How many people do you see asking questions when S2K pulls up? PLus I have seen too man S2K's in ricers hands. You can have a reliable FD for what you will spend on a S2K. FD wins!

You may be right, but finding a 3rd gen with low miles is hard enough and don't forget about the shops that you have to go looking for, to modify the dam thing. New jersey is maby the nearest place i can go to and time is something that im not going to have when im in the Navy. So it looks like the S2000 is winning in my point of view.

Get the S2K.

THere is one on ebay right now w/ 8K original miles on it. IF you have a little patience you will find the right one. Or no patience and S2K.

S2K because it doesn't perform as good, and doesn't look as good, but it has a warranty.....oh wait nevermind. Buy the FD.

I just happen to own both and believe me that wasn't planned, but anyway. If you plan on using the car as a daily driver get the S2000. I just picked up an 04 and it's tons of fun but not as fast as my FD. The S2K can be made into a very fast car and the FD can be modded into a Super Car if you have the money. There's something very impartical about both of these small sportscars. I use my S as my daily and yes the chicks love it.

i dont like the s2k bc of the high redlining engine and the feel of the engine at those rpms. At high high rpms the engine is rough and doesnt feel like it wants to be that high. the interior is also small and weird, the windshield feels as though its almost vertical when youre in the car, and the dash is just too plain for me.

pretty fun to drive though

guys, i spank s2ks all damn day. they are a nice sports car and a honda(dont' get me wrong i have 6 honda and love their reliability) the FD is street legal race car. you cant touch the performance of an FD for under $60k. you can buy and FD a lot cheaper than an S2k and just put the extra cash in savings for when you have issues.

Then you realize you have to fix the FD and if you have never worked on a rx7 or even a car before, you will be knee deep in $hit when you realize you have never fixed a complicated car or your wallet can't pay the repair bills. Then what? The FD is a very complicated car, it was designed with only one thing in mind and that was performance, not serviceability.
