Hey guys, Ive narrowed my search of FD's down to two choices, but I want your guys opnion on here what I should do.

First choice:

1994 White FD with tan seats and rest black interior (including door panels). 110k on body 5k on mazda reman, stock porting, installed by peter farrell. Has all paperwork of everything basically, and car is stock except for a full exhaust. The paint is perfect so is the interior, no problems at all and still 7k or so left on the warrenty.

the bad part is, he said that it boost's 12psi on his boost guage (says peter farrell told him UP to 12 was fine ??) Now the motor pulls a 21 vacc on the boost guage, and only has 5k on it. Asking price 13,000.

Do you think its safe to buy this car since the owner told me that it boosts at 12 PSI ?

Second choice:

1993 White FD (owned by Legal Z on RX7club) with full black interior and 110k on body as well. Motor has 10k on it and its a street ported motor from Rotary Ressurection. he told me that the turbos smoke a little on startup however they the same and no smoke under boost.

He has " m2 wrapped dp, rx7 store high flow cat, rb dual tip catback (old style), pettit intake, rotary resurection street ported motor with about 12k miles (done last march), greddy profec b boost controller, m2 stage 3 ecu, act s/s clutch with rb 9.5 lb alum flywheel with replaceable friction surface, koyo rad, 5 blade fan on both sides, miata thermoswitch, non-seq turbos (also just picked-up upgraded twins that haven't been installed yet), hard intake pipes, hawk hp+ pads front and rear, brembo drilled/slotted rotors front and brembo solid rotors rear, s/s front brake lines, column mounted autometer carbon fiber ultra light boost/vacuum gauge.

other stuff:

new yoko avs es100's 225's front, 245's rear, new pillow ball bushings in the rear, 99 spec taillight conversion, red stitched gear shift and e-brake boots, fresh alignment to pettit long track specs, 5th gear synchro replaced, gm synchro synthetic tranny fluid, m2 ast elimination kit, red efini badges front and rear, r1 lip. i'm sure there is other stuff i'm forgetting.--oh yeah, silicone hose job (hose techniques) and hose techniques silicone i/c pipe couplers.

i bought the car stock with 76k miles and it now has 113k, so all the mods have been done by me. "

Asking price 13,750

so my question to you guys is, what car do you think would be the better deal ? I know the 2nd one has obviously more mods, but there is a turbo problem in the near future. The first car has no problems as of now, but if the guy says its boosting 12psi, the motor could blow up in another 10k. So opnions ?

Id get the first one. Lower miles on the engine and it's cheaper. 12psi is fine on stock fuel and twins.

true, not talking bad against Legal Z but more mods prob = more of a beating on the motor. Plus the 1st one is a 94 so , however he did say it was 4" exhaust  , looks like im getting a 3" pettit ss downpipe, tossing the spare cat i have, and maybe getting a spare stock catback from jio heh

if youre gonna get the second one you might as well pay the 3k more and get the one i was telling you about before. it has more mods than that and it already has all the bugs worked out.

soo, you think the 1st choice would be better? There is no way i could afford your buddies for 3k more simply because I could not get that within a reasonable amount of time right now. I would love to get it , however white is what ive been looking for as well. I guess ill grab the stock one

if this is gonna be your only car youll wanna have more money anyway bc stuff is probably gonna start breaking as soon as you get it. it may not, but you should expect it in case it does.
