rx-7 paint is very low quality in my opinion. Red was normally not clear coated unless you got the high reflex paint option. Best thing to go is to take it to a good body shop and do a full repaint with qaulity paint.

i dont have the money for a full repaint. would a clear applied to my paint plus wetsanding/ buffing bring out the color?

That sounds like a good idea. I would take it to a paint shop and have them take a look at it.

My paint is starting to look like crap too.

i have a place downtown chicago thatll do it for about 200 with wet sanding etc, possibly less and better quality than maaco. ill take it down there and tell everyone with no monay and a vr what there is to do.

clear applied to your paint would be like preserving the fadedness

but if it is buffed and wet sanded it will preserve what is left. right now parts of my car feels almost like very fine sand paper, so i gotta have something done to it.

what are my other options? how much would a true repaint run me anyways?
