ok, i just got my fd and for some reason after i turn my car off, my fan turns on and never turns off, well sure it turns off when my battery is drained =). Now i read in this sectiona while back that the car does it automatically for 30 seconds to 10 min depending on the temp or what not, what could be causing my problem, solution? simple relay? any suggestions, im installing a hks tt soon, so mahybe i can link the two correct? let me know, thanks

 

I would suspect the relays. I couldn't tell you how to test them though. I guess you just check the voltage with a DVOM. At the very least you can check the acutal connection to make sure they are clean and tight.

mine used to do that and I found out that the previous owner did a fan mod to the car that made it stay on and come on all the time.

 

also sometimes the fan recall kits go bad. you can remove it

 

i had the same problem as rizz, the previous owner installed a fan mod to the fog light switch which kept the fans on all the time. When i first got the car I hit the fog light switch to see if the lights worked which started the fans and they stayed on unitl my battery went dead.
