have to stick a pin in the GND and TEN connectors in the diag box in the engine bay. Its close to the positive battery terminal and the fuse box. You then go into the car and watch the ECU light blink, these short and long blinks refer to a code in the manual. You can get these codes here ...

thanks a bunch that was exactly what i was looking for. i was changing my oil tonight and i noticed a leak coming out of the front top spark plug. it looked and felt like oil. its not a bad leak its just wet with a little oil and looks like it might be coming out of the spark plug. any idea what this could mean?

So oil is protruding out of the actual spark plug hole on the front rotor, or is dripping down to the hole? If it's coming OUT of the spark plug port, then you could have some more serious problems. You shouldn't feel straight oil

99.9 % chance that you spilled a lil oil when you added/changed your oil last, and it's ran down the engine block to where you saw it. Is the car smoking badly? If not....... the oil IS NOT coming out of the spark plug hole. Wipe it off and check it again in a day or two.

Also, buy a funnel and quit spilling oil on your engine.

haha well i just bought the car and the oil was full so maybe the guy spilled some before i got it. the car runs great, no smoke nothing unusual. i just noticed it when i was changing the oil last night. and for the record i did use a funnel ill try whiping it off and see if it comes back

question about the rad fans.. do they come on and off at certain times, becuase mine turn on for short periods of time then turn off. also my add coolant light keeps going on, even after i filled the coolant and there are no leaks as far as i know. no spots under the car or anything. any ideas on this?

yes, the fans cycle on and off alot. that is normal. Does the low coolant buzzer EVER shut off or is it always on? If it's always on, it could be a broken or disconnected wire. If it goes off eventually, you probably have air in your coolant system...

it comes on every once in a while then shuts off after about a minute or 2 of buzzing. if i have air in my cooling system does that mean a hose is torn or a leak somewhere? or should i just change out the coolant and put in all new stuff?

you could just take the cap off and run the car to let the air out couldnt you?? but do u know when the last time the coolant was changed? might want to do that anyways.
