I have a 93 fd automatic. I also have the shop manual for it. I bought a remanufactured engine, and am putting the engine back in the car. However, I can't seem to figure out where this one connector goes. It is a blue connector with an orange inside that sits near the water pump housing. It is a part of the main engine wiring harness. Also if anyone has a diagram other than the one in the shop manual (which I think sucks) that would help out a lot. (Note: I do not have the the "wiring diagram" section of the manual, I am using the diagram of the harness shown in the Engine © section.) The connector is female and looks like this "-|-" (a horizontal hole, then a vertical hole, then a horizontal hole) I have googled it, and searched the various rx7 forums and can't seem to find good diagrams. (Nothing like the vacuum hose diagrams, some of which were excellent) The wierd thing about this connector, is that it is unlike any of the sensors in that region of the engine, so I have no idea what it could connect to.

What does it go to though? The spot where it is located is so wierd, I don't know what you could attach it to...... BTW do you know where I could get a better diagram?

Thanks for the quick reply by the way....

The harness diagrams aren't very simple.. There's usually a whole **** load of page flipping, comparing, re-checking and cussing that goes into it.. I know first hand.

It sure would be nice to see a full, color wire diagram of the harnesses.. Similar to the vacuum diagram. I can't think of anyone that would want to tackle that though... lol

I think it's the Cali EGR. You won't need to connect it to anything.

Wire colours are blue / green & brown / black?
