I had to get my engine rebuilt so I kind of attacked the engine bay for a make over.

Here are some photos of the repaint part of this make over. I have several changes planned.

I was getting bored with it.

your engine bay blows.... i mean your engine bay is blue. So what are the changes that you have in mind?? I was expecting a color change or something.

No pulling everything off is the easy part.

Other changes are a new 19 row mocal oil cooler and lines, removed the A/C altogether. I relocated the fan relays and am in the process of relocating the main fuse panels and lines to the rear bin like Scrub already did. I completely removed the remaing ABS componets that were left such as the hard lines ,the stock proportion valve and the ABS sensors. This also includes replacing everything from the caliper to the master cylinder with braided stainless lines. Which will make a really clean streamline brake system. Replaced the plastic coolant overflow tank. Replaced the oil catch "red stripe" bottle that I sported for so long. Swapping from the .85 turbine housing to the smaller .73 on my T67 to get it to spool up faster. I got a new Unorthodox main crank pulley going in on the new motor. I replaced and relocated my BOV from the elbow further down onto the charge pipe. Having it on the elbow made changing plugs and adjusting the idle a real pain.

Thats about the sum of it. There might be one or two other smaller things lined up but until I get to that bridge I don't know exactly what I will do.

WTF is a front apron on a car? If your talking about the plastic wheel well liners they came out for the paint and are going back on when I get to them.

what happened to the engine? Didn't you just recently build it yourself. 2 years ago?

Nice engine bay. Paint it flat black. No fish eyes on flat black paint.

I know exactly what you mean Rob. I had bad fish eyes on the underside of my hood when I did it.I was real carefull this time to clean it off to steer clear of some contamination. There were a couple of small boogers cause I used some older clear but I just rubbed them out.

The motor was broke because I had a problem with my coil harness and and it was my fault.
