i emailed them again told them thank you for somewhat trying to help and that i am still disappointed.... i did it tactfully of course. we'll see what happens. i went for a drive last night eased it into 5th gear and it GROUND! this freaking clutch is trying to kill my 2k my rebuilt tranny with everything new in it!!!! ahhhh

RussellTT94 06-18-2003 09:47 PM

you sure it's not the 5th gear synchro? i'd say it's impossible to destroy a tranny in 2k miles, but you are talented

vosko 06-18-2003 09:48 PM

i blame the POS ACT clutch its not me...........

GoRacer 06-18-2003 10:12 PM

only 5th gear? i think you should have the tranny looked at. I had a oem clutch on my Honda and put 400+ mi on it and it made a worn bearing noise. Since I had allready replaced my tranny last year me and everyone else assumed it was the throwout or pilot bearings. Bought a 3puck & lw flywheel and had it installed but turned out it was the tranny instead. I could have used that money for the trans. Yours sounds like it's still under warranty, mine wasn't.

i'm 99% sure its not the tranny. judge ito drove the car and he also thinks its the clutch. ALSO! if i am at the line at the dragstrip and rev the car to the rev limiter. the car starts going forward and the clutch autodisengages. there is def something wrong with the clutch
