i throw in another vote for the PFC, my car runs really smooth on it. Plus you can tune it as you mod the car. With a pettit or m2 you dont have that flexibility.

Do not overlook the PFS Purple box. They are selling for cheap - $300 to $400 used. People have strong opinions about this unit but my quarter mile times speak for themselves.



It has 3 settings, stock to get you through emissions, one for the street, and one for the track. It is tuneable for the dyno.



If you plan on a midpipe it is probably not a good idea because I think that's where the PFS - PMS caused problems- unable to control boost with a midpipe - but so long as you run a cat, there is not a reason in the world to spend more money, at least not starting out.



The Pettit unlimited is also a fine machine but it is not adjustable.

i use a power fc also, but there is also haltech and a micromanage. i would recommend getting something that is easily tuned in you area. i mean if you lived next to m2 then a m2 ecu is great because they can fix any problems with it..
