Did Some Tuning Last Night
#1
I finally got a PFC about 2 weeks ago, and ditched the PFS purple box. Talk about a world of difference. The car is so much smoother, idles better, and pulls harder now. I was a little worried about running the base maps with my mods, so I had Demetrios from Reactive Racing tune my car last night. He threw the wide band on it, and we went out driving to do some tuning. He was suprised how much fuel it actually needed. It was running at about 12.5-12.7 afr at 12 psi . Luckily I had been driving around at about 9-10 psi and not really running the **** out of it, since I was worried about it being lean up top. He added a good bit, 15-20% I believe. Now its solid at 11.2 or so at 12psi. But now I'm hitting 94% duty cycle at 12 psi, so its time for more fuel The car runs great now.
The only bad part was when I got pulled over. We pulled out of Dee's road and I ran it all the way through 3rd, shifted to 4th and let off. I was going to pull over at the gas station to crank up the boost and let Dee upload the maps to the PFC, and I see the lights coming on hard. I pull in and the cop says he got me doing 74 in a 50 I guess he couldn't catch up fast enough to get the real reading since 3rd gear at 7500 rpm is about 90-95 mph. Luckily he didn't notice the laptop, wideband, and all the other electronic **** on Dee's lap. So I got 2 points and $140 fine, but hey...its better then a blown motor.
for Reactive racing and to the police
