Custom Intake Job
#11
Made my own out of existing air box. cut a slit in the bottom. Blocked off 'stock' air flow. used sheed metal to block off the radiator(keep air cold), take the foam between the radiator and frame, and now you have fresh air. Used a K&N in the stock box.
12C drop, noticeable power increase, and better sound, i can hear the air bypass(BOV).

I'd like to see someone dino before and after an intake mod, no offense, but I am pretty skeptical of the quoted performance gains. I know my bike gained a whopping .5 hp with the K&N and that could have been anything.

The cooler the air is going into the turbos, the less the intercooler has to work and the cooler the air will be when it exits. I squeezed some ducting between the oil cooler and ran it up by my intake. I used some intake hose I found at an autoparts store. It has ametal ribs in it to hold the shape. I also removed the crossmember that runs in front of the motor. It isn't really structural anyway.
