BTW you reset the ecu by turning the key on-off three times.

Ok the car is idling now. except vac is at 12 and the knocking sound is coming from under the alt. wtf it was fine before. The car runs fine stills boosts. Knocking gets faster with rpms. God...if your listening....HELP!

A ticking noise coming from over on that side of the motor could be an intake manifold to motor leak/bad gasket. It could also be a leaking exhaust manifold. Since you say the sound moved to under the alternator, it could also be an exhaust leak between the downpipe and midpipe and the sound is traveling up under the intake manifold. GOOD LUCK!

Almost forgot, if the idle is not smooth the knocking could also be the gears in the tranny. I have also heard alternator bearings make knocking noises as they are going bad. If you haven't driven the car much since you fouled the plugs, the carbon build up can cause low vacuum readings at idle for a day or two.

Ok its coming down to me ripping the turbos off. If the turbos went bad would they make a noise??? Or if the manifold is cracked?
