Ok, I Know this had been covered and there are so many variables that its almost silly to post something like this but its more of a vent for my self. Im just going crazy over this!

Every morning for the last month add coolant light turns on, Buzzer goes on. You can turn the car on then off and the buzzer goes away. dose this month of this never ever had an issue. Thought it was a sensor going nuts.

So this Saturday im driving on a highway for about 20 min and the water temp shoots to Hot and the coolant buzzer goes on. I start to pull over and then it jumps right back to the middle again. Coolant buzzer turns off. “ok now I just don’t trust the thing. Car is acting fine, no loss in power anything. I get into a small town. Temps jump again! This time I start to steam up. I pull right over and the top hose of the stock AST seems to have shot off! Ahh crap lost my new coolant. Anyways. Walk to the store get water/hose clamp fill it up then go on to my parents house again, the temp jumps up then drops down, today it got so bad when I was at pep boys looking for one of those air berpers. And then the car wont even start. Just flooded! Car is just running like ***. the secound i got above 4,000 rpm and get into boost it jumps hot. Im pissed I cant find any issues. I think there is some air in the system but not that much, I have done all the tricks I know to get the air out. and crap the farthest I have gone is like 4 miles. Damn car.

Car has newer rebuild. 20,000 miles

Stock AST

no holes or any sighn of leaking

Caps look fine. New rubber spring works.

Thanks

Keep burping, sometimes it takes alot longer than you think. Also might want to pressure test the coolant system just as a precaution. Also might want to check the fan relays and make sure they are all working well.

Better pressure test it to be sure.

^Yep. I just installed a Fluidyne. Filled and burped the upper Radiator hose FOREVER just to shut the coolant level buzzer off, and still had to refill the AST and T-stat housing three mornings in a row to get it full. Sounds like you've got air in the system.

just add water, cap your hand over the filler neck...and squeeze the lower radiator hose several times. that will pump the water into the system... repeat several times.

Ok, im ****** sick of this. I have been “burping” the car for a week. It is not making a difference. The car will be fine on the highway at a steady speed, Then I will decelerate to a stop or something and the low coolant buzzer will come on. The car has not overheated again just starts to climb then falls back to normal! Ahh!!! The buzzer is driving me mad!. No white smoke really. Just a little because I think it has been cold. But now its starting terrible!! Almost like its flooded. If I pull the EFI fuse out and crank it over a bit it starts ok. But this is the wired thing….ok it almost sounds like when it fires its only on 1 rotor…like..it’s a solid tone…very strange…if you apply gas it just backfires. After a few seconds the car sounds normal…runs fine, no loss in power at all!! Runs like a top!!!. So WTF!! Ahh!!! And also the overflow tank just looks like ****!

I’m going insane over this. I live in a new town, don’t have any friends or extra money… Is there anyone in Santa Rosa CA that can help me? I just need someone to tell me what is wrong. You guys are all very helpful but online diagnosis is just very hard. Also, Are there any good rotary shops in the Bay area? Thanks a lot guys, I feel like **** over this…I cant afford a rebuild right now, and this is my only car.
